Ultra Soft Artist's Painting Pastels

PanPastel introduces a new era of artistic expression. These are not your ordinary pastels; they are ultra-soft artist's painting pastels, meticulously crafted for professional artists seeking the highest quality and concentration of colors. What sets PanPastel apart is its unique pan format – thick & cake-like. Each colour is infused with top-tier artists' pigments, resulting in an unparalleled vibrancy and intensity.

The Pan Format Changes Everything

PanPastel Colours redefine the way artists work with pastels. The unique pan format allows artists to blend and apply pastel colors as if they were working with paint, opening doors to exciting creative techniques in painting, drawing, and mixed media.

One of the key attributes that set PanPastel apart is its manufacturing process. It uses minimal binder and fillers, resulting in rich, ultra-soft, and super-blendable colors. The colors undergo rigorous lightfastness testing, ensuring your creations stand the test of time.

The advantages of PanPastel are manifold:

  1. Mixable: The ultra-soft colors blend like paint, offering a complete painting palette at your fingertips.

  2. Instant Colour: Say goodbye to lengthy preparation or drying times. No solvents or water are required.

  3. Mixed Media Friendly: PanPastel plays well with other artist's media and most surfaces, allowing you to experiment freely.

  4. Functional Packaging: The plastic base keeps the colors separate and clean, making storage a breeze. The base labels facilitate easy colour identification.

  5. Highly Pigmented: With 92 concentrated colors, your creations will last longer. They are of professional quality and lightfast, ensuring your art remains vibrant.

  6. Low Dust: Enjoy a cleaner working environment with less waste.

Versatility Redefined

Unlike traditional stick pastels, PanPastel Colors leave no crumbly edges when used through stencils. You can apply them thinly for a wash-like, transparent effect or layer them deeply for an intense, opaque appearance. Dark colours can go over light ones, and colours can be completely changed without scraping off a previous layer. The fine consistency of the pigments allows for erasing, scraping, and compatibility with both wet and dry media.

Painting in a dry Format

PanPastel Colors are non-toxic and less dusty than traditional pastels. They are easy to store, transport, and clean. With a set of 40 pans and a few applicators, you can mix virtually any colour, including metallics, pearlescents, shades, and tints. You can even "dilute" colours by adding the Colorless Blender to create a unique palette. No need for an easel or special "pastel" papers – PanPastel Colors let you create and combine colours just like paint.

Exploration and Discovery

The dry-packed format provides endless options for application, from use with acrylics to creating effects on sculpture.

  • Surfaces: Try applying PanPastel Colors to different substrates, not just paper, to observe how they interact with various textures and colours.

  • Mixed Media: Use PanPastel alongside wet or dry mediums like graphite, coloured pencils, charcoal, oil pastel, and more. The matte finish blends seamlessly with other matte mediums.

  • Layering: Experiment with layering PanPastel Colors over and under stick pastels, through stencils, and against torn or cut paper edges.

  • Fixative: Use spray fixatives or varnishes to make your colours unmovable and isolate layers.

  • Erasing and Scraping: Employ both additive and subtractive techniques, erasing with hard and soft erasers or scratching through layers with razor blades.

  • Experiment and Have Fun: Each colour's name and number are clearly identified on the base of the pan, allowing you to keep track of your creative journey.
